Born in Bulli NSW 1984, Leah Anketell was raised in an abandoned hospital over 100yrs old in a small town of 6000.

'Glen Innes' is a Parish & Town on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales Australia, known for fossicking sapphires within its creek valley's & a producer of beef cattle & mining.

Leah's paintings originate with her childhood visions & strong influence of the Australian 'outback' culture.
After graduating with High Distinctions in Painting, Life Drawing & Sculpture, Leah was requested to work as a "scenic film artist" for Australian films. This Included: 'South Solitary', 'Wabi Sabi' and more.

Generating increasing attention towards her paintings Leah left the film industry to pursue oil painting full time.

Now residing in Byron Bay in her own studio/gallery, Leah is considered to be one of Australia's young leading artists.  Art Nuvo are proud to represent such amazing talent.
